TCESC hosts writing workshop
TCESC will host a workshop titled Leading Your School to Writing Success by Ruth Culham. Culham is a recognized expert in the Traits of Writing field and author os many professional resources published by Scholastic. The workshop will be held in the TCESC Conference Center from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. There is no charge for attending the workshop. Click here for complete information.
TCESC holds annual Spelling Bee

A total of 32 students representing 18 school districts participated in TCESC’s annual Trumbull County Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Liberty High School. This Spelling Bee provided students with the opportunity to prepare for the annual contests sponsored by the Warren Tribune Chronicle and the Youngstown Vindicator.  Sarosh Sheth from John F. Kennedy Lower Campus was the winner and Brandon Bowman from Girard Junior/Senior High School was the runner-up.  The remaining top ten spellers were:  David Amsden-Michel, Niles Middle; Jacob Brown, Warren City Willard; Dahlia Busse, Niles Intermediate; Rachel Slywczak, Badger Middle; Riki Kaiser, Bloomfield Middle/High; Kaitlyn Wheeler, Bristol High; Angela McKenna, Girard Intermediate; and Gregory Baugher, Howland North Road Intermediate.

TCESC announces Prep Bowl winners

TCESC is conducting its annual Prep Bowl competition. This academic competition engages students in various grade levels in a contest to answer questions for all areas of study. Congratulations to the following winners: Howland Middle School won the elementary prep bowl competition and Liberty W.S Guy Middle School was the runner-up.  Howland Middle School won the middle school prep bowl competition and Hubbard Middle School was the runner-up. Hubbard High School won the senior high prep bowl competition and Badger High School was the runner up.


TCESC Annual Report 2013-2014 is available online



TCESC recently published its annual report that reflects accomplishments and services provided in the 2013-2014 school year. The theme of the annual report is Setting the Pace for the Future. The published report was distributed to Trumbull County school board members, community leaders, state legislators and other stakeholders. You can view the report online here. 

TCESC seeks new substitutes
TCESC operates 43 cooperative special education classrooms throughout Trumbull County. We are always seeking substitute teachers and substitute aides to work in these classrooms. Individuals who are interested in substituting should begin the process of applying for a license and completing requirements as soon as possible to begin substituting early in the school year.  If you are interested in substituting in a TCESC classroom, please click here to access information about becoming a substitute teacher or substitute aide.
TCESC is offering Crisis Management and De-Escalation Team Training on January 22, 2014.. This training is for crisis management teams from each building and will meet Ohio's requirement that school districts train personnel in each building regarding crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
