In our TCESC Deaf Education classroom, elementary students in Champion have been hard at work learning important safety skills. As part of their recent lessons, students practiced writing their full names, home addresses, and their parents' phone numbers—vital information that helps keep them safe.
The class also read stories about identifying "safe people" they can ask for help if they ever become separated from their parents. To bring the lesson to life, Officer Granelly visited the classroom to talk with students about community helpers and how to stay safe. Officer Granelly, a trusted and friendly face in the community, helped reinforce these important safety messages.
We’re proud to share that every student completed the activity with confidence!
