More than 70 Youngstown State University teacher candidates joined us at the TCESC today for a full day of professional development. In the first half of the day, they completed their required child abuse and neglect training, an essential step in their preparation. Later, these future educators participated in engaging seminars focused on enhancing classroom teaching strategies, integrating technology effectively, and exploring creative collaboration ideas to better connect with their prospective students.
Additionally, they had the opportunity to meet with representatives from numerous Trumbull County school districts during a meet-and-greet session. This provided valuable insight into what Trumbull County districts have to offer as they prepare to graduate and enter the teaching profession. These promising candidates are set to begin their student teaching assignments in classrooms within the coming weeks, marking an exciting new chapter in their journey toward becoming educators.
