February marks National Children's Dental Health Awareness Month, and at the Trumbull County Educational Service Center (TCESC) preschool classroom in Liberty, Mrs. Barton's class took the opportunity to learn all about keeping their smiles bright!
This week, the children participated in a variety of engaging dental care activities, culminating in a special visit from Dr. Richard Ragozine of Girard. Dr. Ragozine, a local dentist, gave a fun and informative presentation, demonstrating proper brushing techniques and explaining what children can expect during a dental check-up.
The week-long activities aimed to make learning about dental care fun and accessible for young students. Mrs. Petrilla and Mrs. Sylvester, classroom assistants, played a key role in guiding the children through the various activities and learning experiences.
The visit from Dr. Ragozine and the hands-on learning throughout the week helped the preschoolers understand the importance of taking care of their teeth and made the idea of visiting the dentist less intimidating.
