BUSSE

On Monday, Trumbull County’s Franklin B. Walter Award recipient, Layton Busse of the Niles City School District, was recognized at the 36th Annual Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Awards in Columbus. Layton will receive a $2,500 scholarship from the TCESC Governing Board in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and dedication to his education.

The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award is presented annually to one student from each of Ohio’s 88 counties who demonstrates exceptional academic performance and a commitment to excellence. Layton’s hard work and dedication have earned him this prestigious honor, and TCESC congratulates him, his family, and the Niles City School District on this achievement.

The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award was established to recognize outstanding student achievement across the state. The award is named in honor of Dr. Franklin B. Walter, who served as Ohio’s state superintendent from March 1977 to August 1991.
