CDL License Requirements

Complete local application.
Complete physical examination. (Drug test optional).
Apply for abstract.
Complete BCI & FBI webchecks satisfactorily.
Complete pre-service training. Upon enrollment in the pre-service training (TDDS testing site in Lake Milton), the local superintendent shall be invoiced $85.00.
Successfully complete written tests (BMV Examiner Station).
Successfully complete pre-service on-bus driver instruction by certified on-bus instructor.
Successfully complete skill test: 30 minutes pre-trip; 30 minutes off-road; 45 minutes on road.
Purchase CDL license ( Deputy Registrar).
Receive Pre-Service Certificate.
Apply for and receive annual TCESC driving certificate.
Satisfy any other policies or practices required by the local school district.
