CDL License

CDL License Requirements

  1. Complete local application.
  2. Complete physical examination. (Drug test optional).
  3. Apply for abstract.
  4. Complete BCI & FBI webchecks satisfactorily.
  5. Complete pre-service training. Upon enrollment in the pre-service training (TDDS testing site in Lake Milton), the local superintendent shall be invoiced $85.00.
  6. Successfully complete written tests (BMV Examiner Station).
  7. Successfully complete pre-service on-bus driver instruction by certified on-bus instructor.
  8. Successfully complete skill test: 30 minutes pre-trip; 30 minutes off-road; 45 minutes on road.
  9. Purchase CDL license ( Deputy Registrar).
  10. Receive Pre-Service Certificate.
  11. Apply for and receive annual TCESC driving certificate.
  12. Satisfy any other policies or practices required by the local school district.
