Students in Ms. Woodley’s Multiple Disabilities class at Champion Local Schools celebrated their 4th Annual Field Day—an event filled with excitement, achievement, and unforgettable memories.
The day featured a variety of engaging activities, including relay races, an obstacle course, and balancing challenges. One of the most touching moments came when the students performed a song in American Sign Language—something they had worked hard to learn throughout the school year. Their performance was met with proud applause from teachers, staff, and families alike.
“This is a great opportunity for students to showcase what they’ve learned over the course of the year, beyond the academics they experience every day,” said Ms. Woodley. “The students are always so proud and can’t wait to show their parents some of the things they’ve learned. Field Day is excellent for building social awareness, encouraging performance and physical activity, fostering teamwork, and so much more. It truly is something special for the kids.”
The annual Field Day has become a cherished tradition in Ms. Woodley’s classroom—one that celebrates growth, learning, and the joy of working together.
