On Friday, May 2, the Trumbull County Educational Service Center (TCESC), in partnership with the Trumbull County Superintendents' Association, hosted the annual Trumbull County Honors and Scholarship Breakfast at Leo’s Banquet Center in Warren.
The event brought together school leaders, families, and community members to recognize the outstanding academic accomplishments and leadership of students representing each of Trumbull County’s public high schools.
Among the highlights was the presentation of more than $17,000 in scholarships, including the prestigious Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award, presented to Layton Busse of Niles McKinley High School. Each district-level Franklin B. Walter nominee also received a $500 textbook scholarship.

Madelyn Gassman, Girard High School – Trumbull County Superintendents' Association Scholarship
Sydney Wyllie, Mineral Ridge High School – Love Life Foundation Scholarship
Emma Thomas, Girard High School – Stanley L. & Grace A. Woofter Scholarship
Katelynn Cross, Mineral Ridge High School – Stanley L. & Grace A. Woofter Scholarship
The event also recognized honors students from each Trumbull County district, celebrating their hard work and academic success.
TCESC extends its congratulations to all students honored and thanks the educators, families, and community members who support their continued success.
