Notice for Parents
Student access to the Internet is designed for educational purposes and that the Board has taken available precautions to restrict and/or control student access to material on the Internet that is obscene, objectionable, inappropriate, and/or harmful to minors. As a parent, I accept responsibility for communicating to my child the standards (i.e., family values) I
want them to follow when using the Internet, including how they should go about selecting, sharing, and
exploring information and resources on the Internet. I further understand that individuals and families
may be liable for violations of the Policy and Guidelines.
Google Workspace and Online Services
We use Google Workspace for Education and other online applications. Google Workspace for Education is a set of education productivity tools from Google including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Classroom, and more. Students will use their Google Workspace for Education accounts to complete assignments, communicate with their teachers, sign into their Chromebooks, and learn 21st century digital citizenship skills.
Data Privacy and Information Use
For educational use, students will access online applications while in the classroom. Online applications used by students adhere to the company's terms of service and privacy policies. Parents may contact their child's teacher or department supervisor regarding any concerns with the online curriculum and resources used in the classroom.
